Optosquarewaver is a harsh noise photo theremin. It has six light dependent oscillators generating square waves. Three of the oscillators produce audio signals and the other three modulate the first three oscillators. The noise goes through a fuzzy preamp, that adds grittiness to the overall sound.

The unit has a master volume knob to make it a bit more controllable if you plug it into fx pedals or other devices.
On the back there's a 6.3 mm output jack, an on/off switch and a center negative power socket.
The Optosquarewaver works on 9V DC power, so you'll need a power supply. Regular Boss-style 9V power supply will work just fine. Please note that this device doesn't have space for a battery nor battery compartment.
The casing is from a broken satellite receiver, painted with leftover green ink and light blue spray splatters.
